Babergh District Council voted unanimously on 20th September 2016 to 'make' the Lavenham Neighbourhood Development Plan. This followed a referendum held on 8th September 2016.

February 2025 Update:

Following the rejection by the Village in November 2024 of the proposed update to the 2016 Plan, the Parish Council has restablished the Neighbourhood Plan Group.

The Parish Council representatives are Cllrs Michael Sherman and Alison Bourne.

A letter was delivered to all households seeking volunteers from the village to help Michael and Alison.
