Lavenham First Responders
First Responder Groups are volunteer paramedics trained by ambulance trusts to provide emergency medical assistance within their local communities. Community First Responders (CFRs) work on a flexible part-time on-call basis so that they can schedule their hours around their other activities and commitments.
The type of emergencies to which CFRs may be sent include chest pains/heart attacks, strokes, breathing difficulties, choking, bleeding and diabetes, but in many cases it’s a case of reassuring the patient and monitor their condition until an ambulance arrives.
Unfotuantely the Lavenham Group is currently dormant, should you wish to be part of re-establishing this Group pls contact the Parish Clerk on 01787 247041 or andrew.smith@lavenham-pc.gov.uk
More details of the role of a CFR can be found at Community first responders (eastamb.nhs.uk)
