LAVENHAM COMMUNITY ALLOTMENTS ASSOCIATION

 

Ths is to introduce ourselves to you as the Lavenham Community Allotments Association we are a local group set up to help run the allotments proposed near the Railway Walk. Those involved in this community group are: Francesca Tatum - Chairman, Rosanna Stacey - Treasurer, Tracey Brinkley - Secretary, Paul Thompson - Membership Secretary, and additional committee members - Joan Bornett and Rik Barwick.

 

Background:

We are working with the Parish Council to progress and complete the necessary legal agreements to secure the allotments on the site. The allotments are being provided by the developer as part of the Paddocks residential development near the Railway walk.  It’s the area of land between the two sections of Dye House Wood.  (What Three Words:  paint.crop.flask)

The Parish Council have agreed in principle to take a lease of the land and the management arrangements:

So once all the legal stuff is finalised and the PC gives final approval we will be up and running!  We very much hope this will all go through soon so that we can get cracking still for this growing season.

Once the lease has been signed we will be in a position to open our waiting list and invite applications. In the meantime we will endeavour to keep this page up to date with any developments.  We also have a Facebook page where we will post updates. Facebook
